Hi, I’m Lacey—though around here, I write as L.R. Ashcroft.
I tell stories about love, loss, and the moments that shape us. My writing lives in the complicated, beautiful mess of being human—with equal parts heartbreak and hope.
By day, I’m a kindergarten teacher. By night, I’m a writer chasing quiet moments to put words to the feelings we don’t always say out loud. I’m also a native Texan and a mom of five, balancing life between Target runs, dance drop-offs, soccer games, and everything in between.
HTX is my debut novel—a story about unraveling, and the quiet, complicated process of piecing yourself back together.
Thanks for being here. I’m so glad you are!
